A quick update on the upcoming Cities of Death campaign at my local GW. The point value has been upped from 500 to 750. We also have to bring along a piece of Cityfight Terrain.
This give me a great opportunity to finally buy some terrain. The piece I have decided on first? Why the Manufactorum of course. The Shrine of the Aquila came a close second (and may be an additional purchase soon)

ReplyDeleteLooks solid, You can probably play keep away and hose people down with the SR then finish them off with the assault squads. Main problem, of course, is you have 13 miniatures. A lucky missile launcher shot or something will screw you over, but I guess that's the nature of the beast. I'd drop the plasma pistols and most of the melta bombs (especially from the fist guy, as it's a bit redundant). Probably lose the hand flamer, too. Maybe use the points to get an extra body or two?
Plasma cannons might be good for the SR, especially if you'll be fighting loads of marines (likely).
What powers are you thinking for your librarian?
Force powers depend on what I'm facing, I do like the old Unleash Rage and Shield of Sanguinius combo but If I'm facing armour the Blood Lance could be worth a look too.
ReplyDeletePlasma Cannons are always good vs a power armoured foe so the armament for the SR will again depend on the enemy (blu-tacked weapons FTW)
Are you allowed to switch stuff like powers and free weaponry?
ReplyDeletenot sure, not that much info tbh all I know is 750 points, WYSIWYG, must be at least undercoated and must bring a building mounted on a movement tray, other than that your guess is a good as mine
